Reflection on Drama Performance

This week, you have watched at least one drama performance and your objective is to reflect on it.  Please make sure you choose ONE of the three prompts below and answer in at least 150 words with lots of details.

  • For those of you who watched the Group Interpretation performance of “Alice in Wonderland”, please describe your thoughts on the performance.
    • What are your thoughts about the costume choice?
    • What are your thoughts about the actions of all the performers?
    • What made it entertaining?  confusing? awe-inspiring?
    • What makes a GI performance different from a regular play?
    • What did you like/dislike about the performance?
    • Any advice for the performers before they perform in the contest?
  • For those of you who watched the Contest Play performance of “The Person I Once Was”, please describe your thoughts on the performance.
    • What are your thoughts about the fact that there were only 3 actors?
    • What were your thoughts about the set design?
    • What made the play entertaining? confusing? awe-inspiring?
    • What were your thoughts about the individual characters and/or storyline?
    • What did you like/dislike about the performance?
    • Any advice for the performers before they perform in the contest?
  • For those of you who would prefer to compare/contrast the drama “Twelfth Night” to the movie version, please describe your thoughts.
    • How does watching the movie version help/hurt your understanding of the drama?
    • Which characters are your favorite so far?  Please explain why you feel so strongly about the character(s).
    • What do you like/dislike about the movie?
    • Do any of the added movie scenes make the drama better or worse than the actual play we read in class?
    • Any advice for the directors to improve the movie version in any way?

  1. This s sounds like a very interesting wrighting challenge, so far we have done book reports, and weekly challenges, we even did a personification paragraph. (I was a garbage can! ). My class has really enjoyed ths experience with blogging and I hope your class has too! – Kayleen
